SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

In order to deal with menaces we have o use  security techniques or actions. But what is computer security? Computer security [I1] [I2] [F1] [F2] [F3] [F4] [F5] [E1] [E2] [E3] is a group of measures (both technological and organizational) that assure to every user or process all and only the services dedicated to them in the ways and times indicated.

There are many menaces and risks in computer science, especially on the net. Let’s try to understand which are the requirements for computer security.

Information travelling on a safe net needs to satisfy three main requirements:

  1. privacy of data – that is, to guarantee that data access, processing and transfer are known and managed only by authorized people;
  2. data disponibility – the possibility given to authorized users to access information any time they need, without limits or delay;
  3. integrity of data- that is the warranty that the information kept cannot be violated, lost or damaged.

These three requirements need to be respected in order to say that a net is safe. The defence strategies need to guarantee to reach these three requirements.
